As if a spontaneous NYC weekend wasn’t surprising enough… we got the chance to stay in an incredible place. The Beekman Hotel in Lower Manhattan was such a dreamy space—perfect for a romantic weekend getaway.
Everytime I stepped into The Beekman, I felt like I’d stepped into the set of the Grand Budapest Hotel sequel… perfectly squared frames and 1930’s swank included.
Our first night in the city we decided to wander downstairs to the basement after dinner to find the Alleycat- a speakeasy with no clearly labeled entrance, (we tried at least three doors before finding the right one), live music and all the underground secrecy that clearly everyone was there for.
The Beekman is a refreshing break away if you mostly tend to stay in more modern hotels. The old-world opulence still felt fresh and immaculate.
