Just a fun Sunday outfit post. Really loved this one.
I love giving vintage items a modern spin. This Liz Claiborne jacket was a fabulous vintage find that I couldn't resist with it's 80's boxiness and fun color and print. The particular shade of purple contrasted with black is so clean. Somehow, I only beifly contemplated removing the huge shoulderpads, but thankfully I kept them because they're awesome. It came with a matching shift dress that saddled the line between dramatic boxy and perfeclty fitted. Sad to report that I believe it was lost and became mixed up whilst moving :( However, this jacket stood the test of time. I purchased it at the height of my vintage craze. Like a pendelum, I'd swung too far in the other direction, looking on my collection of vintage with much less enthusiasm and borderline disgust for a short time. Confessing only becuase I hope to not make the same mistake again... because I realize now how much I truly love vintage. Only my tatse in styling has changed.
Paired with an (also vintage) basketweave purse, impractical cat-eye sunnies (from asos) and a black melamine bangle, I had a ton of fun with this look. Also couldn't resist a pop of red with Chanel Rouge Charnel, one of my dozens of shades of red on rotation.
