It's 2018 and as my husband & I do every January, we're planning out the years travels. As far as accomodations go, everytime I had a exceptional experience at a hotel or Airbnb, I make note of it so that I'll use that hotel group or host again in the future. Other aspects of travel, such as transportation, can sometimes be unpredicatble in terms of weather, delays, unpleasant flights, etc; but I always take the greatest consideration when booking accomodations. At the end of the day, THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE SLEEPING. I mean... It doesn't get more personal than that. That being said,  (as I mentioned in this post) I've really enjoyed my Airbnb experiences so far.

In fact... if Airbnb wasn't already fabulous enough; it's all the fun things about shopping for a house, without the commitment of taking on a mortgage. All from the comfort of your comupter. Interior design included in the package! Forget the price range, location, or number of beds and baths... I go crazy saving the listings that are aesthetically pleasing and then I remember it's a family trip and I need space for 6 adults and a child.

HOWEVER...

The perfect sweet spot in terms of location/size/price/aesthetic does exist! It's BANGTEL, a boutique line of properties in great locations like NYC, Chicago, Miami... among others. Hoping to see more cities open up across the US (hint: California, Seattle, etc.)

Recently, myself and four girlfriends made an impromptu weekend trip to Chicago to celebrate a special birthday. Our friend Kelsey had recently visited Chicago earlier in the year, and really wanted to go back to explore some more for her birthday. We found great prices on airline tickets and started looking for Airbnb for 5 women and thier suitcases (we won't speak of the latter).

"Mr Clark's Gallery" measured up to all of our refined, discerning Airbnb palettes. The also swank "Playhouse" made the decision quite difficult, but we preferred the Lincoln park location of the Gallery. The well-curated collection of painting and photography and eccentric objet d'arts inside the apartment completely elevated our stay.

Bangtel has multiple Chicago properties available in all of the most desireable neighborhoods. "Aloha" is definitely the next on my list ;)

And now to get back to our travel plans...
